What did you do with your SuperHawk today?
Took her for a brief 30 miler to shake off the cobwebs since she's legal now as well as test out new helmet (non crash test).. And yes I'm not too ashamed to admit I was wearing chaps today.! Better warm and unfashionable than cold!
70+ yesterday and got to get the hawk out and give it some exercise. it hasn't gotten any love since October since the tag expired. I got the inspection done a few weeks back but this is the first nice weekend day to get her out. it was nice to roll the tires!!!
installed my new arttrax racing ss full floating rotors myself (used an old trick with a floor jack and stump and level to raise front off ground lol). man after that I took it for a spin and was the braking ever so nice
....slowly parts are coming in and I am rebuilding my bike back
oh and I replaced those reflecters on the front forks with led running lights / blinkers too.

Just a quick shakedown run to gas station. First miles since I got hurt a month ago. New Sedeci boots felt fine and didn't fall apart yet. New cheap battery works fine. The stock gear ratio didn't feel slow. Stock handlebars tweaked on the wrists a little.
Maybe tommorow I will test my new AGV leather pants.

AGV pants are too small. I looked like Chris Farley when he did the Chippendale spoof with Patrick Swayze.
On the positive side, I scored a pity date with a mutual friend. She's trying to make another gal notice me by making her jealous. No wonder I'm single if this is how the game is really played.

Got to take the tank off and remove the petcock.
It's bad and now, I get to spend 200 bucks for a new one.
Whoo Hooo!!! (I say that sarcastically)
The mod I made worked for a day and that made me happy...
but, now I am sad.
Still an awesome machine.

I've had some seat time on my new setup and I think I love the stock bars and gearing. Once up to speed the stock bars feel just right, the helis were starting to feel tall. The stock gearing has mellowed the bike so that it doesn't feel so jumpy when I'm leaned over and need to correct the throttle, I feel like I'm actually faster through the turns now.
The Sedeci boots are fine and dandy, especially for 80$. Finally, all glory to the Pilot Powers! The turn-in is sweet and they just grip and grip, still have a .25 in. chicky strip though. The fuzz saw me working on that and got all jiggy for a moment but never showed up behind me.
AGV pants are in the mail. AGV jacket on the horizon.

I had kind of a Isle-o-Mann moment when I caught air with a little wheelie at 135 off a rise in the road. Definitely peed a little. I like the stock bars and gearing more and more.
We got the tail end of that blizzard that hit the NE coast. I dug out around my bike shed, does this count?
I hate winter.
Correction, I like winter for about a two week period around the holidays; after that it can go away...

Started it up in the garage and looked for a leak in the left side radiator. Last time I ran it with the fairing still on it dripped a small amount of coolant once fully warmed.
But today with the rad fully exposed... no leak. Sure as shootin', if I ride it this way the leak will return and leave me stranded. Arrrrgggghh!

Looked at it.... walked past it... worked on the Shelby today..... Gas tank is still at the painters, so no motivation to finish the carbs and replace the coolant line.... plus it's raining .......so not going to ride this weekend even if the painter calls and says come pick the tank up....... though that would be nice.
