    Hey 8541Hawk,
I've been reading all the carb adjustment threads on this forum and I'm looking for some advice. Thought you might be able to help.
I have a 2001 SuperHawk which I plan to use on the track (and maybe road). I intend to install the JE pistons 11.5:1 and I'm looking to remove the crankcase breather in the airbox to simplify the airbox.
I have a K&N filter and was going to cut the top of the air cleaner cover so that it would just be the filter above the tank. I noticed that someone did this in one of the threads.
What would you recommend for the carburetor jetting?
I'm worried to drill the hole to make the piston move faster because I think it will run too lean/rich.
For the future I was thinking about stage 2 cams. Any thoughts?

Hey... Wanted your opinion. I'm installing a new Emgo air filter, just so I know it's new in the interest of helping the bike run on the choke better... Just wondering if you remove the stock metal backfire screen from the air filter? I usually do that for better flow, but I know how sensitive the Hawk is to changes, so I thought I would ask you James

OK, Mike....disregard my last regarding contact. I found you on the other board. I've registered there, so I should be on-line soon.

Any idea where or how I can get a rubber shroud for the right side mirror (this covers the mirror mounting point). I just noticed that mine has a tear in it, and the parts fiche that I looked at does not show a separate part for that.

You are a GOD of the SuperHawk. Without your knowledge and expertise I would be lost. I cannot thank you enough and only hope you continue to help other new members who knew as little as I did initially!

    Bravo Sir.

Thank You for the nice photo of your SH (very nicely groomed!) as an example whenI was looking into the rear fender 'chop'. This went smoothly and I'm happy with the cleaner look and better reveal of the pipes and rear tire.... Tin snips worked pretty well!

Now about the rear turn signals - I noticed you've probably shortened the stems so that they are tighter to the tail or ?

Is there a kit available for this, or did you perform 'SH surgery' here as well?

    Many Thanks,
