900rr or 954rr swing arm?

Is this Craig's List swing arm a good donor for a VTR brace mod?
It looks to me as if it is from a CBR900rr.
The seller identifies it as :

CBR 929 Swing arm and wheel W/brakes
http://sfbay.craigslist.org/eby/mpo/5040132975.html

I would like to do the swing arm brace mod some day.
Would it be an advantage to have the whole assembly (wheel caliper etc) as he is selling?

Hmm. working on the image.
Well here is a link to the ad:
PARTS! PARTS! PARTS!

If I do this mod later, is it an advantage to have the whole assembly as he is selling?
Nothing is every guaranteed on used parts only viewed though a ad picture..

BUT that is not a 929 swing arm from what i can see in the pic.
And it does look like the 900rr swing arm I bought and used for my brace mod.

I agree that that looks like a 900RR swingarm, but I think it is the later year version with the twin legs or twin spars rather than the single leg version most use. See Eric's brace thread here for more info:

https://www.superhawkforum.com/forum...r-mount-31513/

I'm going to use the twin leg version myself. Jack Flash used the twin leg and has a thread on here about it.

The 900rr wheel is a bolt-on if you intend to go 6-spoke.

Thank you for taking a look at it and commenting.
Yes, it could be junk,(CL is buyer beware, right) but it looked like a brace donor. Not sure if I will ever want the wheel though. Unless I want the "more spokes" look. But that would depend on what I end up with on the front I suppose.

Well, if you don't want the wheel, you can get a swinger for a lot less. I paid about $20 shipped from the 'bay.

Thank you much. I may be calling upon you for that.
I should hold off on this since I already have some front end parts on the way which should keep me "mod" occupied for a while.

Denial: ...also used for a psychological defense mechanism postulated by psychoanalyst Sigmund Freud, in which a person is faced with a fact that is too uncomfortable to accept and rejects it instead, insisting that it is not true despite what may be overwhelming evidence.[1][2][3]

Yeah no kidding! Why am I doing this? It takes time away from productive things and will never pay $ returns. I'm going to quit today........Nah.

I have two 929 swingarms and a 929 rear wheel. Didn't know it was a possible brace donor for the VTR. If so I'll list them here for sale.

Can you post a picture of it? I just did a quick search, and none of the 929 swing arms I found had a brace that would be useable for this mod to a SH swingarm

Not sure why anyone would purposely make the SH wheelbase LOOONGER and add to the rear suspension unsprung weight ..but I guess to each his own. for some looks are more important ride, performance and improving both I guess.

For those types this is a awesome option.. Brace AND stretched AND you get better adjusters...

The member who started the thread wanted a swingarm with a brace to cut and weld to our Superhawk swingarm. The SSSA does not have this. This is why I asked, "For what?"
