So instead of wasting all winter thinking about the bike I decided I really need to figure out how this RFID ignition setup is going to be wired off the bike before I start cutting and soldering wires so I broke out the breadboard today and took a quick trip to radioshack for a few small things...
Within the next week or two I will be messing around with this thing and see if I can get it functioning off the bike but right now it is a confusing mess of wires and plugs...

Back at it...
UPDATE
So I'm back in the garage, hopefully wont take too long to finish this thing but I still have a lot going on in life with not much spare time.
I will be scratching the RFID, don't feel like wasting any time figuring it out, so for now my ignition switch will be a toggle mounted under the seat... simple, fool proof, less components to fail, and still have the security of needing the key to pop the seat off and get to it.
I still work long hard hours for UPS and am currently taking online classes at night so updates won't come as fast as before, but they will start up again...I promise>>>>>

So far tonight I have got the R/R wired up and ready to rock...
I still have to dig my bike out of the back of the garage so I'm limited with space to work on the wiring thats already on the bike.
I'm going to search through my things or stop at radio shack tomorrow for a small enclosure to mount my toggle switch and diode.
Ill post another update tonight if I get anything else done

Man it's tough gettin goin tonight lol
I'm pretty sure my biggest problem is not being completely sure of my wire routing and having a fear of making a wire too short... maybe I'll just make them a couple inches too long and zip tie that **** outa the way if I have to

So I've been working on the front of the bike... have the cluster wired in, lights are almost completely wired in, I have the plugs for the right hand start/kill switch and brake switch. First thing tonight I am going to make up the plugs for the left hand light switch and clutch switch then start working on the harness side of those two.
I also decided I am going to relocate the horn to where the fuse box used to be under the seat, just have to make a small bracket for it.
And guess what I scored for free today on the job, sign said motor runs good but one of the water valves was no good... easy fix

Got the left controls done completely, switch side and harness side.
hopefully tomorrow I can get the right switches and front lights done, then I can move back towards the ground strip and fuse box...

Alright so Wednesday night I almost completed the front half of the bikes electrical system and the front half actually looks like a harness. I do need to finalize the turn signal connectors, and my little black box for the ignition switch but for the most part its done...
Today (Saturday) my bike actually saw direct sunlight for the first time in many months yes its dusty and dirty but I did a quick inspection of things that need to be done and took some pictures.
I have my son until Monday Afternoon and plenty of homework to get done in the down time so you wont see many updates this weekend, but I am on vacation this week so I will be getting a lot done
