What did you do with your SuperHawk today?
I don't think that the VTR is a narrow focus at all.
It does everything from 900K's in a day to being thrashed on a track for me.
To me one of the best things about the VTR is it's ability to function in a multitude of roles.
It is a very good platform for personal modification as well
I can't see me parting with mine for some time.

After hopping off my VFR800 onto the VTR, I was convinced that it was going to be far less comfortable and so only suited to short rides. Turns out that it is just fine, more compact perhaps but no less comfortable. I prefer the fairing and screen on the VTR which seems to give much smoother airflow. The big lazy twin is a pleasure to use and for whatever reason tolerates low rev use better than the V-four. If only it had a bigger tank...
Big Jim,
Fit a double bubble screen, changes the airflow and makes it more comfortable as it redirects the air away from your chin area.
These can be had cheap from Flea Bay if you trust them.

How tall are you Jim?
With the stock windscreen, the wind was hitting me in the throat and at highway speeds, it felt like my helmet was trying to be ripped off. With that happening and the buffeting as well, to a person behind me, it probably looked like I had Parkinson's.
I installed a double bubble windscreen in the hopes of fixing this, however the wind now hits me about 3-4" higher, right at the bottom of the visor of my helmet.
My issue could be that I am 6'3" tall. My next option would be (sorry, but I don't know the name) the windshield that has that lip that points almost straight up. I have read on here that this windshield, although kind of goofy looking in my opinion, works great.
If only there was a windshield that had an adjustable lip. At highway speeds, you could raise the lip up and ride in a nice pocket of somewhat decent air. Seems a bit far to go just for aesthetics though.

Rode 150 miles with our riding group from church. Beautiful Idaho countryside. If you ever want to see what we saw today, google search: Banks, Idaho and Garden Valley, Idaho. We also went by Black Canyon Reservoir.
Stopped at a gas station in Horseshoe Bend and a guy on an SV650 walked all the way across the parking lot to ask me if the Superhawk was for sale. I told him no

carb games
Replaced front diaphragm (found HUGE TEAR) shimmed needles. Discovered tiny cracks in rear diaphragm, amazingly still has some vacuum. Ordered a replacement. Took a sweet ride down Hwy 70 between Hwy 58 and Hwy 321.
Almost forgot to mention...slide spring shot off into the woods, landed somewhere behind me. After the spaz attack subsided tracked that sucker down. Definitely enjoyed getting it back together and riding that much more. I highly recommend totally screwing yourself over then snatching that victory!

MRA ST shield from Germany.
I live on a dirt road and I have to ride a mile and a half to get to a "real" road. The Superhawk handles the dirt and gravel much better than the VFR. The Interceptor fairing pops and creaks something awful. The SH is just solid.
I installed a "smoked" windscreen that arrived in the mail today. It is a little darker than I was expecting, so I will have to wait until the the weather clears to see how it does. It has made a dramatic difference aesthetically in my opinion.. .. I am very fond of it.
A smoke and a phone isn't much. In the past few years, I have spent a crap load of time on the road. I have seen some sh*t. One that stands out for being distracted, is a dude reading a book with his right hand, smoke in his left and picking up his phone periodically to text all while driving with his knees. Was doing a decent job of it too....before my buddy laid on the horn and freaked him out
And is it just me, or am I the only one who has seen more tire marks/skid marks on the median and/or sides of the road? A LOT more accidents these past few years because of these damn phones. Sad really.

Wolverine so far, since I have had the SH, I would say never. I am only a street rider and have felt awkward in that position on this bike. I was able to ride my FZR like that (my only other sport bike),but not this one yet.

Eric, if you find that installing that header is too much work, and believe me, they are A LOT of work to install, you wouldn't believe the work you have to do, it's just an amazing amount of work, you can always sell me the header.
In all reality it's in a little rough shape, it's got a few scratches and one of the pipes is dinged up. For 250 bucks though, I can't really complain.
Recalibrated my Speedo Healer V3 to get it perfect.
Without it installed, and the gearing in my sig, the speedo read 60, and I was only doing 50 (measured using SpeedBox app on my iPhone 5S).
With Speedo Healer installed and just the gearing calculator calibration the speed read 60, and I was really doing 58. This is why I reset to factory defaults and used the "Precise" calculator... Now my speedo says 60, and I am going 60
I also double checked front to rear wheel alignment using the string method: How To Check Front and Rear Motorcycle Wheel Alignment | MC GARAGE Tech Tips
Oh, and I bought some cheap fork springs
