Painted my subframe with bed liner too

Took some blown out mufflers and shortened them 4 inches, gutted them and put 12" glass packs inside and polished them up

Painted my radiators black too

Yeah I was loaned a GoPro I to try out. I have had no problems or issues with it mounted to the helmet.

I also have a nice tank mount but i still have my original windscreen and as i bought the bike in '97 I don't think you could see all that well....

Went for a test ride on a recently assembled VTR that's going up for sale soon.

Met my friend at 9:30am to ride into our mandatory work meeting together. Temperature was in the mid 30's, so the 8-10 mile ride was short enough for me.

I use this stuff and if the paint hasn't bubbled in 10 minutes after 1 coat, it probably won't work. Sometimes it takes a couple of rounds of stripping before I get it all off, but it's usually pretty apparent that it's working when it does. I've found that it does absolutely nothing to anodization (stripping black paint off of gold calipers didn't take any of the gold of whatsoever).

Jasco® Premium Paint & Epoxy Remover (GJBP00202) - 6 Pack - Paint & Varnish Chemical Removers - Ace Hardware

Also, paint melter is also flesh melter, so careful where you get this stuff!

I might be joining that club with you at the beginning of the season...

Replaced my mechanical seal and haven't started the bike since. I didn't check the depth either, so it may be too deep...

Crossing my fingers.

When I broke my seal, it leaked just sitting there. So you're probably good. You can always turn the crank bolt to try to listen for the pump scraping the cover w/out turning it on. May even be better to do it this way first anyway

Thanks 7moore7.

I think I initially had it pressed in too far, as it seemed to hang up a bit when I turned the impeller by hand. I put it out what I think was the same distance it was at when I pressed the impeller out of my smashed cover, but I'm just a little jumpy since I didn't measure it with a micrometer.

Time will tell, lol
