Greetings ! ...from a new member

Hi folks. For those who are curious about what a newbie has to say;
I would just like to say that I am one double happy dude...having recently
(4 months ago) purchased an absolutely mint 1998 Fire Storm (export or Canadian version of your Super Hawk ? I am not sure about the naming thing).
It's an excellent bike, light years ahead of my CB900F !
I am looking forward to gaining some knowledge from what appears to be
constructive exchanges of information, as well as having a chuckle at some
of the members' comments.

ps. While in Florida on vacation, I bought an aftermarket seat-now I can enjoy
longer rides !
pss. This thing can really chew up a back tire !!!

welcome to the board and congrats on the bike. I've had mine for a bit and the R/R seems to be an ongoing problem with a few of us right now.

Welcome, read and enjoy the site, It has a lot to offer, and there is a ton of info and smart SH owners here to work with.

Welcome! I lived an hour south of Montreal growing up.

The rear tire is a rather expensive chewing habit these bikes have, worse when you get a nail in one at 2000 mi and have to replace it (today's expenditure, but now a new Dunlop Qualifier to try out and compare albeit earlier then I wanted to...)

The aftermarket seat is starting to feel like a must for me too...

Welcome, I've had mine for about 6 years now and the only thing I've needed to do was the R/R. The rest was for fun and addiction.

Wecome RedHot! If you ever make it down south a few hours we can do a little riding together, or you can show me some decent roads up your way. I'm about 3-4 hours south in Albany.

Thanks for the warm welcome !

I am quite surprised to see that one of you lives a close as Albany. Beautiful part of the state. I rode by Albany on my way to Laconia NH bike week several years ago. Smugglers notch is a nice ride.
Perhaps we can hook up and ride someday.

Yes, that'd be nice. Are you off tomorrow or Friday? I'm on my "weekend" until Saturday morning.
