Greetings from a new member who just got a SCREAMING deal on a 2002.
Howdy folks,
New to the forum, looking forward to all sorts of good information and conversation. I just purchased a 2002 Superhawk from a guy who's moving in 2 weeks and was desperate to get it out of his hair.
The low down:
Only $1600!!!
30,040 miles
Brand new Pilot Power 3 tires
APE MCCTs
Two Brothers CF c-4 exhaust (whoa buddy that's a deep note)
The previous owner did a few things that I'm not a fan of, namely removing decals and installing flush mount blinkers. If anyone has stock turn signals and tail light, please let me know!
I've put about 300 miles on it so far and LOVE it. The only bad part is the low fuel light blinking at 85 miles on the trip. Of course this bike gets bad mileage, but that seems low even for Superhawks?
Anyway, here are some photos of this beautiful machine:

If ur twisting that wrist - 85 miles is about right, remember U'll have at least another 20 to 30 miles left.
And red is the fastest color - Nothing like a V-Twin - eh?

Nice score! Welcome aboard. I'm a fan of the decals too. Good news is they're still available. I've bought them before from Ronayers.com. Call first so you get the right color. They're listed as "type 1" "type 2" whatever and though I once found online where it said which was which I called to be sure.

depending on your wrist, the fuel, which way the wind blows, etc will 100% depend on your fuel economy. I've hit red on the gauge at 85 miles as well, but IF (BIG IF) i'm gingerly, I've also seen 120+-. No one ever said fun was fuel-efficient, though. Happy riding!

Just be patient on Craigslist - you've gotta look for the deals in rural or hard-to-access areas and jump on them quick. This guy had over two dozen people calling him after 7 hours of posting and I happened to be the first to get out to his farm.

Very nice Hawk TboneNast! Welcome to the forum. Everyone knows that the Titanium Metallic color was formulated and made to decrease drag, and increase MPH by over 10%! Don't let these other Hawk owners fool you...
