Longer days!

Longer days!
Yes I know I do this every year so why stop now. I mountain bike a lot so am acutely aware of sunset times. (Would rather avoid night rides in Queens).
So it turns out Dec 21 was the shortest day of the year (winter solstice).
So now each day gets mercifully longer. This means spring is on the way and nice warm riding days!
Just thought you guys may want some optimism to start your year.

Slowly but surely the days grow longer.
The solstice was a big deal when I lived in the great white north, not so much here in the desert SW. Still, it will be nice to have more daylight to play in.

Allow me to pipi on everyone's parade. But long before we get to enjoy those longer days, we still have to go through those long, brutally cold, arctic air blowing days. Not including those 20-30cm(10-12in) of snow and blowing snow falls, slushy streets, frozen ice street corners, and, let's not forget, ice rain when the weather decides to visit close to the freezing point.
Yeh lots of fun coming up with the longer days...

Yeah, see I just couldn't live that negatively.
Every winter is different. Last one stunk but before that I was able to ride every day.
Plus nothing can change the increased daylight. Not even negativity.
