VTR for Sale

Unique Find Meticulously Kept

2002 VTR1000
Asking price - $4,500

Location in Massachusetts

Shipping by buyer

This is one of my favorite bikes I ever owned without a doubt, but time has come to let it go to another enthusiastic rider

Title and keys in hand

Second owner since 2009

It has a lot of amazing upgraded parts and modifications that I installed through the years, some ideas from the forum, some my own

The bike is literally running better than the factory, all services and valve clearance are done. Lack of a better word.. Perfect!

Here is the list of mod's in non particular order:

2007 CBR1000RR complete Front End (Calipers, Rotors & Master Cylinder)

2007 CBR1000RR upper and lower Triple

Ducati ST3 Clip on risers and Helli Bars handles

2011 CBR1000RR Lightest Honda OEM wheels made for CBR's, less rotational mass, front 3.5 pounds lighter and rear 5.5 pounds lighter than stock wheels

Michelin Power 5

Lighter flywheel made by one of our prominent members here with much less rotational mass, very noticeable with significant acceleration and engine braking, it's one of the best modes for the money

Original VTR front fender fitted perfectly to the CBR1000RR forks

LED headlight bulb

Powerful LED auxiliary flood lights under the headlights covering corners as well

Super bright LED tail light modification

BMW Turn Signals, front embedded in the fairing and rear below the tail

Lithium Battery with the original A123 pack

Custom Heated grips

Brand new R1 Regulator/Rectifier conversion (most reliable ever made)

Marquez racing speedometer face

Custom click adjustable brake and clutch levers

MRA custom windshield

Custom lower belly pan made of Ducati ST3 pieces

Custom Tail tidy

Extended Yamaha FZR mirrors

Custom Gel seat

Stainless Steel brake lines

Oberon clutch slave cylinder, smoother better engagement, much more manageable

Larger rear sprocket, keeps the bike more manageable in lower gears and backroads riding, translates to more immediate power on the low and mid range

Jet kit and Carb's modification including synchronization based on the best setup from a genius ex forum member, running like a Swiss clock, definitely better than original setup

Custom gear shifter assembly made by another great forum member, very accurate and smooth gear shifting, completely transformed from the OEM clunkiness

Valve clearance was just done at 32 K miles and replaced head cover gaskets while at it

Cooling system full flush and fresh Engine Ice

Added secondary custom cooling fan on the left side radiator for even better cooling in hot summers

APE Manual Tensioners installed

Polished Header and Mid pipes

Two brothers carbon fiber flaring High Mount Exhaust my own mod’

4mm shim mod’ above the rear shock to add ride height

CBR1000RR kickstand mod’, more stable and longer, (I did a write up on this somewhere on the forum)

Frame sliders

I may have forgot some additional items...

The bike is garaged, normal use - no track days/racing
No trades, no warranty - Sold in AS-IS condition

If you are serious, please PM me

Dang,, sad to see this in a way but I get it. Best of luck on the sale. Someone will be getting a solid machine, no doubt about that.

Good lick with the sale. Would be a solid buy for someone.
Any cooling issues as a result of the inlets being blocked by the turns?

Not at all, there's actually very little to non functionality to these vents. the bike runs the same temperatures.
