Am I missing something here? Everyone talking about adjustable steering stem bearings?

The bearing races get installed into the head tube, and there they stay. With no adjustment available to the bearings. They ride on the races.. If a race was to move and require "adjustment", it was not properly installed to begin with...

The only thing close to "adjustment" near the head tube is tightening the steering stem nuts, correct? As the OP said "are the steering head bearings adjustable? I ask because I've noticed the slightest feeling of movement when I use the front brakes."

I say..no the bearings are not adjustable...the "feeling of movement" is because the steering stem nuts need to be re-torqued...

I didn't see one reply that suggested to tighten the stem nuts. Or is everyone mentioning "adjusting the bearings" meaning "torquing the stem nuts to the correct torque"?

My understanding of the comments were that they were discussing this.

Yep, that's what I'm referring to.
