Tapered Steering Head Bearings

Just a heads up that allballsracingdotcom makes steering head bearings for our bikes .

If you local parts source can buy from Parts Unlimited the good deal on them might be about 25 bucks

part # 221020

They make front and rear replacement wheel bearings too for you hi-milers ............ I bought all 3 for my keeper cause I'll eventually need them .

Marietta Motorsports (Mar-Mo) http://www.1888fastlap.com also carries the high-quality tapered head bearings, which are both less expensive and of better quality than OEM head bearings are.

cheers,

I have not seen one but you knock them out with a punch and hammer .

Lube the OD and drive them in with either the old bearing race or a socket .

shayne is on a distinguished road
Get the front wheel off the ground, and check side to side movement. If it is not nice and smooth bearings may be past their use-by date.

they make custom bearings so you can get them with the outer diameter for the superhawk and an inner diameter that fits the steering stem of another bike.
