Rattling noise????

Was out ridng other day and developed a rattling noise, cant tell if its internal or not. Makes no noise when idling or off idle reving, only when moving. No particular speed, and only does it in spurts, meaning may do it for about 2 seconds and not do it again for another 2-3minutes. Just put on a new chain, could it possibly need tightned, someone told me this could be a possiblilty, but chain doesnt seem to be stretched out much and seems near to same as when i put it on. or is there some other little thing that may be rattling i cant find?

i have the same problem with mine. do you have a problem with power tooo? almost like the clutch is slipping. i think mine is the clutch because it started when i got on it real hard one day so it is either that or bent valves or maybe just shimming..

no problem with power, did a oil change and went back with honda synthetic, just got bike and previous owner probably didnt even run oil at all in it lol. figured this would be good oil? however now that you mention i did top oil level off on the same day i went out and it started this. (upon oil change honda rep only sold me 4 qts and it was low on level in glass and i went back and got another quart and filled it to level) (could i have over filled and caused this noise? ... i know it sounds stupid but im at a stand still on this noise)

found it, loose tank bolt, tank had slide into frame and was barely rubbing it, tightened it good as new again.
