Petcock vacuum lines

I've traced my non running issue to the petcock. I see two vacuum connections on the diaphragm but I only took off one vacuum line. That isn't right is it? Is there one for each carb?

I just went through this. There's only one vacuum line. It goes from the back of the petcock to the front cylinder. It controls fuel flow for both carbs.
Maddeningly, there's a second thing that LOOKS like a vacuum connection but isn't. My guess is that it's a sprue or a vent or some other artifact from the casting process..
If you're unsure which is which you can connect a vacuum line to the connector, suck on it, and gas will flow.
Your problem is likely the connection at the other end or the line itself.

I just rebuilt the carbs on my 98’ Valkyrie Tourer. Now my petcock is leaking, so I’m not taken any chances with hydro locking my engine.
