So this my friends is the problem ey? so i can just get this peice specialy orderd from a dealership? wow that little rip causes that many big problems huh?

That is the problem, yes.
No you cannot just buy that diaphragm from the dealer. As far as I know, nobody sells just the diaphragm separately. You will need to purchase a new petcock assembly.
Yes, that little rip will stop the fuel from flowing to your engine, and cause a lot of drive-ability problems. The leaking fuel from the downward pointing nipple was a clear indication of the torn diaphragm.

no way, theres no way of just getting this diaphram, wow thats a bummer. I hope the petcock doesnt run for too much.

haha good deal nath, but ya so that is the only way i gotta get a new petcock, anybody know what they run for?

it seems like it would be worth a try to make you own if you don't mind the time to learn something. it seems like someone would have tried it on here, huh?

Even a pinhole in the CV diaphragm screw things up pretty good.
Dont be a spode and pinch the lip of the new one because you didnt line up the groove.
