Fluids question ?

Hey guys, I just picked up my hawk a few days ago. I changed the oil but was wondering with 8500 miles on the clock, and not sure of the routine maintenance intervals should I go ahead and change all the other fluids like brake, coolant, and any other you may suggest. Thanks for the advice........

Brake fluid and coolant should be changed every 2 years. So If you don't know the history, it would be a good idea to do it.

And of course, when changing the brake fluid, the clutch is included as well.

Follow the spec.. DOT4 spec brake fluid and silicate free coolant... Brand is pretty irrellevant, but others might have other opinions... (No, higher spec isn't better...)

I am actually running a mix of DOT4 and DOT5.1 in mine since that is what I had at the time I needed to bleed it and they are compatible.

Just don't mistake DOT5 for DOT5.1.. DOT5 is not compatible with anything else.

Just get clean stuff in there without adding any air pockets and you will be good.
