Engine stalling

I took my recently purchased 2003 SH out yesterday on a 190 mile trip to get used to it. It ran great. handled pretty well...still waiting for the rear shock to arrive to balance out the bike with a race tech front end. One thing happened that concerns me....at one point on the ride I braked hard coming to a complete stop and the bike stalled. Does anyone know what the cause of this could be? BTW 3/4 of tank of fuel?

This is normal for an unmodified bike. The fuel sloshes up out of the bowls and will fill the vent line, thus creating a sort of vacuum lock there. The fix is to reroute the front line on the carbs. The pic is on my site. Oh, and make sure it doesn't interfere with the throttle linkage.
