I found that the front tire would kick up enough water into the ignition switch and would make mine cut out. I went about sealing all the connectors in the front of the bike with some electrical grade RTV. After that I had no more problems.

rain stalls

My 98 is doing the same thing. Rear cylinder fails first then a mile or two the front goes out. Let it sit a few minutes and it starts on the front cylinder but the rear doesn't fire unless it sits even longer. I would think that the pulse generator, sidestand switch, or vent tube would kill everything. Any other thoughts? Scott
