cam chain

I am fairly new to the SuperHawk world and have read many threads about replacing cam chain tensioners. But I have not ran across anything about the cam chain. Does anyone have a mileage recommendation or any tips when the cam chain needs to be replaced?
Thanks,
David

A "very long time" IMO. That's a technical term, mind you, and it's pretty much synonymous with "never".
