Advice on rc51 f/end

Hi guys
Need some advice on the rc51 f/end,as more of you guys have this conversion done compared to us over in OZ.
What benefits over the hawk f/end has it got
Have a forkbrace and beefed up springs on my hawk know
But have had disscussions with a few guys ,and have been told
That its not worth the trouble,any feedback would be appreciated

I think it really depends on your riding style and roads you ride. I have 2 vtrs, one stock with racetech (heavier springs) and one cbr1000rr front end. The cbr bike is more racey. as in faster on smooth windy b roads and racetrack type situations. But the stocker is better in the city and for daily riding. Slightly more compliant and feels like more travel.

The cbr bike is way better at crazy speeds that I really dont usually access. Its better but not change your life better and not at all better in the city and commuting. (makes sense; racebikes dont do either)

Well I have a SP2 front end on mine and IMHO it is better than the stock set up in every way.

Now yes mine does have a few "special" bits in them but still the improvement is quite large.

Now the stock stuff can be made to work pretty good, but if you are the type of rider that likes front end feed back and increased stability, then by all means go for it.

The 320mm brakes are just an added bonus....

Now I do recommend staying away from the RC51 stuff due to the fact it has become a bit pricey due to the rarity but if you have access to all the bits, it is a very good front end.

That is exactly the feedback I was wanting
1.Most of my riding is in the twisty bits ,so I can tick that one
2.Have puchased a complete rc51 f/end forks with upper and lower triples,brand new steering bearings.clipons,master cylinders,brake calipers,new ebc pads,new ebc rotors.c/fibre front guard,fork seals,and a cbr1000rr front wheel,which with a few mods will fit.Total $500 aus
Hope I didnt pay to much

The only thing to ask would be did you get SP1 or SP2 bits?

The most important one would be the triple clamp. You need a SP1 triple for it to fit as the stem on the SP2 triple is too large.

The one thing I did forget to add... the steering stops on the SP1 triple are in wrong place.

Sp you will either need to figure out a way to extend them or attach some new ones.
