Tweety,

You have tables of your dyno runs, right? How about doing us up a little graph in Excel and posting if you don't mind.

Well, yeah... I have all the data... But there are a few arguments for not doing that...

1. The dyno is a DIY project originally intended for setting up an V8 powered car... So it's not really meant for bikes... I use a smaller single drum and all that for the bike, but calibration and comparability to any other dyno is out the window... Not comparable... At all... My sensors are crude compared to others dyno's... I use it to compare setup against setup on my bike... If I want to compare my bike to any other bike I'll go get an "official" dyno sheet someday...

2. While you looking at this thread might fully understand the premises behind these data others might not, and I'm not interested in an argument on the validity of the numbers vs whatever numbers... Comparing a few other bike's that have done "official" sheets after I helped set them up, I can get a calculated comparison for my bike, but I really cant confirm the numbers, so I'd prefer not to say...

3. Even if I was to post up an "official" dyno sheet, there are to many variable's to really compare different bikes unless you run them back to back on the same dyno, same day with the same conditions... I have argued that point before...

What I can confirm using math is that I'm close enough for it to be very useful in setup, and that if I say it makes 4-5 vs 2-3 difference it's close enough (comparing apples to apples) for me to state that without feeling I'm cheating anyone...

I can look at the data and find out what I need to do to improve, to get rid of flat spots and so on... That's the purpose of my DIY dyno...

I don't care about bike to bike comparos. I'm edumacated enuf to no dat it don't rilly meen much unless it's same bike, same day. I'm interested in the improvement before and after.

Understood, the secret is the air dam...cut it off your OEM filter and glue it in place in the airbox lid so when the lid is installed over the K&N.

That way the air entering the airbox will see an OEM setup then to those little molecules surprise they will be sucked into those nice big long billet funnels at an much faster rate

Sorry... I got sidetracked... First wonderful riding weather...
Then I started thinking about the K&N filter... And while I was at it, I decided to install the T-rex sliders that has been lying around for ever...

So now I have installed those, and done more setup with the K&N... This time it didn't make me quite as upset as last time (that time I did consider a sacrifical burning of it to quell my temper... )

So now I have even more dyno runs... And they are all on the computer attached to the dyno... At my parents house... And on my USB stick... which is still sitting in the USB port of said computer...

I'll get there in a few days and retrieve the files and post them... Now unfortunately I have to work... vacation time is over... Three weeks never went by this fast before...
