Thumbs up Special Racetech Fork Offer

Not sure if this is the place to post this thread or if it belongs in the General Discussion category, mods please move if that is the case.

I just got of the phone with exoticbikes.com, http://www.exoticsportbike.com/index.html after speaking with Jon in CS and placing an order for the Fork Gold Valve Kit and the Fork Springs. He is giving us a special deal that if you purchase both items at the same time, the cost for both is $225.00 plus $14.00 shipping within the Continental U.S., outside the U.S. would be slightly more.

I thought this is a good deal considering that Racetech as raised their prices recently. Racetech's website prices these two item at $279.99 plus shipping.

I do not work for or Exoticbikes or Racetech, I figured I would ask for a better price and explain that others on the forum might be interested in saving some money for a much need modification.

If you decide you want to purchase, either speak to Jon or tell them you are a SH Forum member, thats all.

Worth the $ and work.

Deal sounds good.

Just wanted to throw this out there for anyone on the fence about rebuilding there forks. Do it!

Did mine a few weeks ago. New springs, RT Gold Comp valves, seals, & bushings. Stripped the forks down and cleaned them thoroughly (very important step). Anyway, the result was amazing. Much better wheel control and much improved feel. Now I can use the grip that I have. Go for it.

Get the standard. The new 2-port crap sucks.

The price is for the following:

Fork Gold Valve Kit – Standard Type 1 FMGV S2040 Fork Spring Series (pair) FRSP S3534

You can find the right spring for the type of riding you do and your weight by using Race Techs Spring Rate Calculator, Custom Fork Spring Calculation and Available Rates

I got the standard kit and .85 springs. I have .90 springs for sale as they are too stiff for me...see the classified section.
I figured the 2nd Generation stuff was gimmicky and I'm not goin' racin'
