Jetting Recommendations

For 2000 Superhawk -- I took a hole saw and a die grinder to remove the inside of the ends of my mufflers. If anyone has done this and successfully rejetted please help. I need settings for needle, shims under needle, main jet and pilot jet.

Shim the needles 0.040-0.060", turn mixture screws to 2 turns out, stock mains, stock idle jets. I assume you're somewhere near sea level?

Yes, Greg -- pretty much. San Diego, but live and ride at 2,700-3,000 feet.

Okay, well then only shim the needles a little, like half of above. 1.75-2.0 turns on the screws, whichever works better for you. Make sure you've got a good carb sync. Our bikes are sensitive to it.
