Jardine High Mount's w/ oem passenger pegs

I am sure others have done this but here is my solution to the Jardin high mounts and OEM pegs with some pictures.

What you will need:
-Longer bolts(forgot what size, sorry)
-4 pcs. 1 inch aluminum by 1 1/4 inch long
-Alumnum polish (optional)

1. Drill out your alum pieces to fit the bolts
2. After drilling them out I attached the alum peices to a bolt and stuck them back on the drill to sand and polish, works great.
3. Take a sawzall to the footpegs and cut off the oem muffler mount. unless you like the looks of it(and you may need longer extentions.
4. Lastly a sand and polish to the footpegs and reasssemble.

It sits close to the muffler but I have not had any complaints from the passenger.

My Jardines came with all the necessary hardware to do this. But their design retained the stock muffler mounts which forces everything to be a little wider. I wasn't a fan of that so I did just like you and got some smaller spacers and cut off the old mounts.

Nice job! And this same idea should apply to any other highmounts as well where the hardware wasn't included.

Yes, I bought these used and the hardware was not included. The aluminum peices cost me 6 bucks and they even cut them for me.

another inch extension on what I have would be too much. Kind of poor planing on jardines part, that must be why it shows the exhaust with out the footpegs in jardine stock photos.

I wish I didn't have a passenger on the SH, but I will make this a project for next winter. Right now, I have the old exhaust mounts still intact with the rubber grommet(s) in them, so that way they don't mark up my cans...

New Jardines do come with the hardware. It moves the stock pass pegs out a bit further probably than you did since you cut off the stock mounts. I posted a high(er) mount yosh system a few days back I found on ebay japan that I've never seen before, and it actually came with new yosh designed pass pegs. Really cool.

I just installed Staintunes - they use the same spacers with longer bolts as well.
