Come on slackers! Let's get some other Superhawks in the running.

I know my bike is pretty intimidating... but there have got to be one or two others out there that stand at least a slight chance!!!

If mine is put back together in the next 6 days, I'll enter it. It'll be a Yellow SH competition. If it's not back together, it'll have to wait till next month.

I really like the yellows. Always have...
Whatsup with the rear wheel tape Chris? The rest of the bike looks spot on.
how do you like the convertibars, better than heli?

Olaf did you change anything from last month? Other than bug meat on the front? Get us some new pics of the damn thing already. Geeesh. You can post three you know, I think you could get away with more. I'm sitting on a couple of those Honda band-aid stickers that say "stupid hurts" I'll send them to you if you put them on the bike.

Olaf,

I am considering starting a pool to replace your stock blinkers. They're unsightly, unsafe, they don't even make good frame sliders.
Stock blinkers are the sign of sheer laziness. They design and build the suckers at the mfg with full intent of removal and disposal. They are so hideous that they make the garbage at the landfill decompose quicker.
I would'nt be against you just cutting them off with a hacksaw or even just breaking them off with your hands. It would look better.

Make sure you replace them with something safe and if you go L.E.D. please install a resistor/s to slow down the blink rate.

If you would like I can lend you my dremmel to cure that ugly black flap hanging over your rear tire. Indeed majestic. I saw a gal once that had a majestic cold sore on her face, you just can't stop looking at it, but not because it's cool. Kinda like your rear fender.

Just the cold hard facts.

Why haven't you done these simple inexpensive mods yet?
What is your malfunction?

You coulda been a contenda.....

It's kinda like that neighbor kid that you like so much but..... he just really needs to get a hair cut, wipe his nose , stand up straight.

Stand up straight.....Olaf.

were root'n for ya.

VTS: the wheel tape was from the previous owner and when I did the 954 swap I never got around to putting any on the front to match one of theses days I want to get the wheels repainted. As for the convertibars I never ran Helibars but the convertibars are nice because you can change just about everything on them to make them just right for what you want.

LOL VTS
I know most everyone on the forum sees the bike as a blank canvas to alter upgrade immediately, but for now I'm just kinda enjoying the idea of my bike being unique based purely on its "stockiness"!!!

I understand the signals and fender aren't extreme looking, or even attractive. But they do give the bike a certain completely stock feel. (I'm actually really surprised no one has picked on me yet for the little reflectors hanging off the sides of the tail!!! Not sure I have even seen them on anyone elses bike.)

I realize it is a bit like running head-first into a wall over and over again, but I feel like I should keep entering her as plain as she is because it's SHOTM... and technically she's more Superhawk than anyone else entering! :P

I agree that I do owe some new pics... the iPhone is no great camera (or phone really, for that matter!) - Will see what I can do about it soon.

P.S. Regardless whatever else you read here on the forum, bugmeat is the most important upgrade you can make to your Superhawk... and you should replace/replenish it often!

Olaf,

Now that I think about it your bike has more mods on it now than that of my first five bikes combined. No blinker changes, no stainless lines, no fender bobbing. Ususally just a windscreen and a tank pad and I was good to go.
Damn I really loved those bikes too. 86' VFR, '94 VFR, 93' CBR F2, 94' CBR1000F, 99' VFR, 99'XX,.... I did bob the fenders on the 99 VFR and XX. The bikes after that I started getting the mod bug and did stuff.
It's too bad we can't just keep all the bikes instead of selling one to get another.

Congrats this month and good luck next month Olaf.

My wife read my posts and thought, what a jerk, I had to explain to her that you understand it as humor (as it is meant to be) and that is how we roll here on the forum.

It is still raining here in Oly and I need to go out and get some bug meat, none to be had though. It's gonna be a few months yet.

...Still time to get a few more bikes in the running!

VTS - That was humor?!?! Your wife was right... Man, was I pissed off!
Actually I was really starting to feel a bit arrogant for writing "because it's SHOTM... and technically she's more Superhawk than anyone else entering! :P" - LOL

Usually I vehemently dislike lowers on a hawk... Especially the full dress looking kind, the Moriwaki and copies I can tolerate... But with those colors it actually looks good... (plus u posted a chick-on-a bike-pic...)

My vote goes to V-king...

BTW Olaf... I like the look of a stock hawk... I just didn't like the stock fork... And then it snowballed fast from there...

I saw the other post... I pulled a muscle in my back so I'm not eager to go out and move stuff around in the garage. And our bathroom scale is crap anyhow.
