It looks like Indie is the only taker for Jan 2010 VTROM.

I'll probably vote for him anyways but c'mon guys. Jump in, let's see some bikes!

Why not?

I"ll enter the VTROTM. I thought about it last year but there was some stiff competition from some good bikes that were customized up real nice. Kudos guys! But not a lot of things that stick out on my bike so I was holding out. But hey, a new year and a "why not" attitude and the fact that there are no other runners(as of yet). Here goes:

I had a set of Yoshimura RS-3s on there and bought a set of Migs from a member here. When I swapped 'em out and put the solo mounts on, my girlfriend(we are engaged now) saw that in the garage she asked "where are my footpegs?" So I had to get longer bolts to add the stock hangers and the Corbin backrest for those times when she rides with me. Otherwise I go with the solo look. Please read the signature below for complete list of mods.

First photo is current minus the Gixxer 6-pot calipers or the F4i MC but they are on there now.
Second photo shows the backrest and Yoshimuras RS-3s(ordered with no badge)sold to a site member. Trying to keep it in the family here.
Third photo is the Gixxer 6-pots. Can you say "one finger?"

do those flushmounts on the front maintain the "running light" feature?

If so, what are they?

LOVE that exhaust... soooo nice looking.

No. They are just two wire. Got em' from Lockhart Phillips(vendor) years ago.

Thanks. When I saw the post about a member thinking about selling them, I didn't hesitate to make an offer. I liked the RS-3s too.

OK ok... I will throw myself in the running.
(Maybe even repeatedly this year.)

Someone has to represent the cosmetically imperfect, mostly stock crowd!

AngryOlaf's 2000 Superhawk:
  • Corbin Seat (Gunfighter backrest not pictured)
  • Galfer SS Lines
  • Helibars
  • Some scrapes on the right side fairing and tail (pretty sure they don't make the bike go slower so not a high priority)
  • Glorious and impressive full rear fender
  • "Stubby" stock pipes (Left cut recently to deal with this issue)
  • Stock CCTs tempting fate...

Thanks!

- Mike

OK, I'll play too. 1998 Superhawk.
List of modifications:

Ohlins Shock (not pictured)
D&D Slipons (came with the bike when I bought it)
954/929 front end
Sonic .95 Kg/mm fork springs
F4i front calipers w/F4i master cylinder (also have 954 setup somewhere in a box)
J&E 11.5:1 Pistons
Ported heads with valve job
Lightened flywheel
Superbike bars mounted on TAG Metals bar mounts bolted to the upper triple clamp
Flo-Commander
Dynojet jet kit
APE CCTs
15/43 gearing
Somebody's braided brake lines
Suzuki R/R
and I'm sure a bunch of stuff I forgot

The red always looks like crap on these super compressed images.

I vote for cornand. But I will add mine for S&G. . .

So far it's been rejetted, Remus Genesis exhaust, mirror risers, Heli-bars, heated grips, ZG db windscreen, Corbin saddle, T-Rex frame sliders, flush mount turnsignals, ZenRails (saddlebag mounting rails), little carbon dress up bits on the fuel cap and upper yoke, carbon fiber hugger, braided stainless brake lines, ThrottleMiester cruise control, soon to have a stebel air horn (as soon as I finish making a bracket for it).
I'm currently waiting for the CCTs to fail so I'll have an excuse to redo the heads and install the cams/valves pistons from Hpower

That's funny, I was thinking that I was going to nominate Angry Olaf today and just call him out. Totally random, what happens, the guy jumps in, weird!

Thanks everybody for jumping in.

It's really cool to see what everyone rides to get ideas for mods/accessories, also to see the different flavors.

That is funny! I had debated for a few days and your post got me to go ahead and throw my bike in... even though technically I am late.

...and I knew as soon as I added it others would jump in too.

Sorry about the delay.. I've been in California on business... and also to enjoy the beautiful weather they've been having.

Nominations are now closed and the poll is up. Only 9 days to vote because of my delay, so get those votes in quick!

cornandp,
More pics please.

I like the rack on the back, I am guessing you made it.
I think I see a poncho on it in pic #2.

Also, what is on the left mirror? MP3,GPS,Camera?

Its a camera, I was using it to snap shots and take video of our trip back in august. Yeah I built the tail rack you can see it being used in the second pic. This was our "day off" on our trip so the tent sleeping bag and pad where all still at the camp ground. Next time around I will post up another pic. Here are a few in another thead.
