A BIG thanks to everybody who participated in July's VTROTM, and an especially big thanks to AngryOlaf for being our anchor nominee for the better part of the year. If you did not win, be sure to get your nomination in again this month for your chance at SHF fame and glory!

VTROTM Rules:
  1. Picture (REQUIRED) 3 Max! Please limit picture(s) size to 1024 x 768.
  2. Open to all Super Hawk Forum Members.
  3. You are limited to 1 entry per month.
  4. You can only nominate your own VTR. (projects, daily riders)
  5. Candidates will be nominated up until the 15th of the month or when 15 nominees have been made, whichever comes first.
  6. A poll will then be set up (on the 16th if less than 15 nominees) for everyone to vote for VTROTM for that month and close on the last day of the month.
  7. All participants who vote will get to vote only once per month so make it count!
  8. Negative comments, criticism, harassment, and all around bad manner wont be tolerated.
  9. If you have won VTR of the month, you cannot enter your bike for 12 months.
  10. In the event of a tie, a 7 day poll will be set up to break the tie.
  11. Rules subject to change / amendment at any time.
  12. Description of a candidates bike should include the following If available:
  • owners name
  • year
  • color(s)
  • modifications
  • tech specs (if any)

Nope... But you could argue that it's not really a Superhawk (Firestorm actually) anymore, since the number of OEM parts keep diminshing...

1999 Storm
Black tank and Black undercoating body...(muhahhaa)

Modifications:

VFR 800 rear end
954 Front end
Z1000 exhaust
R6 licence plate mount
Modified sharkskins
Shorty levers (Knock off but works great)
Bar end mirrors (not very useful - unless I flip it upwards but it looks tres cool)
Fullthrottleinc Triples
Fatbar
LED signals - rears are embedded into the seats
LED stop lights embedded into rear reflector
MDA 8 cells battery

Right I am going to try again! Updated pics since last month! I have put the matching front wheel on and changed the angle of the seat to make it easier on the wrists. The can is crazy loud but i love it.


Bealsey's VTR Streetfighter
Home made by myself, everything done apart from Airbrushing by my good mate for Free!!

Tech Spec:
Removed fairings, painted oil cooler and rads in matt black, hidden ignition, Renthal streetfighter bars, Titax shorty levers, lengthened stainless brake and clutch hoses, SP1 dash with stainless steel brackets, mantis headlight unit with Halogen lights, Oberon bar end mirrors, Honda VFR 6 spoke front wheel, Stainless steel and Black bolts all over, black knurled foot pegs.
Modified front mud guard.

Custom stainless steel exhaust consisting of homemade rear header with stumpy Ducati 916 Carbon Termignoni silencer

Pyramid bellypan modified to fit new exhaust (not fitted yet)
CBR600RR Seat unit, led tail light, subframe custom made to fit.
Stainless steel hugger / splashplate, electrics modded to fit under seat. Honda seat cowl.
VFR800 swingarm, rear wheel, caliper, new ali dogbone and plates.
Stainless steel brake hose hidden through swingarm. 5mm stainless steel shock spacer. battery under seat cowl.
Rear light with integrated indicators
Painted matt black and airbrushed in metallic copper, snake skin style.

Kinda last-minute I know, but here goes.....
'98 model, mine since '02
Specs/mods: Trimed rear fender, led turn signals, Ohlins shock, smoked screen, Seargent seat, updated R/R, lower fairing with custom paint removal from the last time I had it in colorado , K&N air filter, MIG shotgun style pipes (i beleive they were made for the RC51 and retrofitted to the SH by the PO)
To do list: ape CCT's, TPS mod.

As it seems it´s a naked VTROTM, i´ll give it a shot with my Speed Twin:

All great Superhawks, but luis gets my vote this month!

If my bike ever goes naked, it will be with that exact headlight setup... (I've always had a thing for the speed triple so this feels a bit like i'm voting for two of my favorite bikes!)

Tough one this month-- I love the nakeds, but my vote went to flatlander. I'm a sucker for those lovely shotgun-style Migs, and that rim tape and seat piping just finishes out a very clean look.
