looking for a change. got really tired of stupid buyers so i thought it would be fun & educational for my son to help me tear it down.

plus the fact that 'hawks don't sell well & with all the bit's i've added over the years it'll work out the same.

That frame is starting to look tasty... any idea what you'll sell it for?

the upper fairing stay mounts is broken or cracked... the PO put cold weld on it but that to is cracked. i rode the thing for 5 yrs like that. i don't know if it's weldable or not.

maybe $50.00 ( or $60.00 if you want the title ) + shipping

I can do that. What I'm trying to avoid is this:

which I just found on my bike. I'm making a fighter out of my bike anyway, so don't need the fairing stay mounts.

Otherwise the frame is good?

i didn't see whats under the coldweld... it could be exactly what you have.

i pulled the triple clamp so i'll see if i can see from inside the neck.

same as mine. I'm still tempted to take yours 'cause you've ridden for four years, and mine may have unseen cracks that I have to uncover, but I won't have those discovered for a little bit. Can I have like a day or two to decide before you send it?

I would take that frame to a competent welder, he will grind out all that nastiness, find good metal, tack in the tab where it belongs and fill the remainder.
You can wipe on some penetrating dye to check for other cracks or surface defects.

Or buy an undamaged frame........

not a problem. if you want to go the repair route, i could ask andrew what he'd charge ( cornandp ) he's going to come over for a couple of parts so i'll show it to him.
