Slapped on my new Sargent seat. There is a guy locally selling a SuperHawk that used to have a Sargent. I gave him 200$ plus my stock seat. I am happy enough with the deal and it was nice of him to help me out. I haven't ridden on it yet but it is way more comfy in the shop.

Ride N Wash

Put 100 miles of straight Highway miles on her... Yay. Came home and did a light wash and detail on her. Tomorrow, or in 8 hours: Wash and heavy detail with simple green and never-dull the problem areas.

I love mine. Its only off the bike when I wash it or using the under seat storage. Best money ever spent hands down!

bought 03 Superhawk today!

Traded my 2005 VFR 800 with 8,300 miles on it for a 2003 Superhawk with 4,663 on the clock. Even up at the dealer. I took a ride on it, I smiled and swapped it straight up.

The bike is fun, but it is really hard to shift thru to second. I hope it's just an oil change away from smooth..

Candy Blue! NICE...

Well yesterday I began and finished a 763 mile round trip to pick up some mortgage loan documents for my client so that we could fund their loan yesterday. We did the majority of the trip in my friends Jeep Grand Cherokee, though I originally planned on doing the whole thing on my bike until I checked the pass report and it was calling for snow! LOL!

Wolverine, get 'er done!

Crankenfine, ride report please.

Radone, bitchin I have a blue '03 with only 36k more miles!

GTS, so nothing with the 'Hawk?

I went to the liquor store, the Sarg seat was not an issue, that is good enough for me.

Rode 40 miles this morning to track down an oil leak, FOUND IT.. darn valve cover... Re seated that, installed a new chain, Supersprox-stealth out back and Renthal in front. Taking the front wheel in to Cycle gear after lunch for a new front tire, then going for a ride with my wife after dinner......

A wash and wax.

After a 476 mile ride on sunday it was looking well used.

Parked next to a buddies Speedy Moto 999 at work today it looked down right shameful.

Discovered that you can get Lift Off Oversteer on a Motorcycle. Didn't know that. Now, yes, yes, I know you can get it.
Cruising at 110 MPH, the bike seems to like it without pushing too hard or getting too hot.
Ordered a new Chain, oil filter, and Joe Rocket Manta XL tank bag.

Today i fitted Yoshimura R&D System i got a few weeks back

Cans and pipework went on very well, are very well made and fit and finish is superb with no blowing at the joins etc

I think they have the SP1/2 Style up swept look, i like them, they are not high mount and they are not normal position either

Does any one else on here have yoshi headers fitted? what gains did they get on the dyno?

Shakedown of Sarg seat

Ran out to Blanco this evening to see how much I love my newish seat. I also lowered the Helibars all the way and left the tankbag at home. Plus I brought the gopro and got some entertaining vids.
I was in the saddle for 105 miles straight and the booty was not complaining. Nor were my nards crammed into the tank and I did not get racked on rough pavement. All I had to do was hhit apexes wich I sometimes did. Dunno if a vid would load here or not.
Verdict is, Sarg seat and Helibars make this bike way more liveable for this 42 yr old with a wack back.

One gallon of Shell Rotella T6 5w40 and a filter. We'll see, I've been using M1 4T for a while, but dayum it's expensive!

Hope everyone is enjoying their S/H even if not working on them today. Reading and
Studying the search threads for mods to do later today to get the bike ready for the
Memorial Day run. Hope to install various add-ons acquired during the last months.
Will finally be installing my mccts, along with stainless brake lines, fork brace, pair block-offs, tps adjustments, lower cowl, mirror extentions, fluid/oil changes, and new tires.

Been using the VFR lately till I install my add-ons. Really looking forward to riding my S/H
Again.

Ride Well Everyone, and have a Great Memorial Day weekend! .

And the results are in.... shifts like my beat up Mobile1! Ain't using that crap anymore.

Anyhow, rode down to meet Randy(RVO27) to buy the Corbin seat for Hoovey. Had fun but it started to sprinkle on the way home, not enough to get wet though.

Nice video Mike. Looks like a fun ride if all the other guys were out of your way. How did you mount your GoPro?

Fun ride yesterday

First longer ride since my return.. 140 miles. all but 12 miles done on back roads

This morning, throttle cable tightened a bit, carbs get synced, find the exhaust leak I created when I had the pipes off yesterday to wrap them, double check for vac leaks or a loose plug wire as the bike dropped a cylinder a few times at ideal to about 2000k RPM yesterday,, very strange, intermittent and only did it a few times.

Then go for another 150 or so mile ride today..

All times are GMT -7. The time now is 12:23 AM.
