PIRC (Formerly BeavRun) May 5th & 6th

Heading up there with TrackTactics in just under a week. Come join us for our first Mid-Atlantic event. Chris Peris will be there doing some coaching for the advance group, and offering two-up rides. Former AMA Pro Brian Gregory will be running a beginner program for the first timers. Dave Moss will also be around to tune and answer any suspension questions anyone could ever think of.

The event is very reasonably priced at $165/day or $300 for the weekend.
Garages and camping are available, as well as gear rentals from Arlen Ness and Dunlop tire service to round it all off.

Let me know if you have any questions!

I have never done a track day. I intend to do one this season but I don't think I have enough time this week to prep my bike to meet track rules. However I live about an hour from this venue. Could I just come hang out ( pit crew, gopher or whatever) to see what it's like?

UPDATE:
Aw screw it! I'm all in for a beginner session on Saturday. See yinz there!!

That's still up in the air for me. It's the same weekend as WERA at Road Atlanta.

Fantastic! I'll look for a Superhawk, i'll be on a naked SV650 and probably be helping out with the beginner program if you'll be in there.

For anyone else, you can absolutely just come and hang out and watch. We are also having a potluck dinner Saturday night. So bring a dish and lets go into a food coma after a fun day on the track.

OK I am planning on trailering a red S'Hawk behind beat up old gray Honda minivan. Shouldn't be too hard to spot...

What time do you recommend showing up?

Since your close by I'm going to assume you will be coming in the morning?
Tech and registration usually opens up at 7, mandatory riders meeting around 8, then track goes hot at 9. If your going to participate in the beginner program the classroom sessions usually start right after the riders meeting. Don't quote me on the times but that is normally how we run it. So you can judge it depending on how much time you want to give yourself to set up.

Thanks and yes I'll be driving out in the morning. I'll plan to arrive a little before 7.

Yee-ha! My first trackday ever. What a hoot.

Good organization, friendly people, lots of attention from the instructors.

Better yet, did not crash!

Glad you had a good time! Hope you learned a few things and will back out with us. It was an awesome weekend. Everyone rode smart and we were able to give a lot of coaching time. The weather turned out great. Little damp Saturday morning but the track still had a ton of grip, sunny mid 70s all weekend after that.
