What did you do with your SuperHawk today?
Took off the mounting brackets for the MagicalRacing lower. Since I have a box large enough for it now, the lower is ready to go on sale. CruxGNZ has dibs unless he has changed his mind.

Went on the "normal" local ride to finish dialing in the suspension and scrub in the new tires, everything is working really good now

Then as I pulled into my garage this happened:

Not a bad day all in all

Wow! Your bike does NOT look like it has six figures on it. Good maintenance truely pays off. Congratulations Mike! When people ask how many miles these engines can go, your picture will be coming up.
Congratulations,
That is something to be proud of.
Testimony to a well cared for bike.
I am a baby compared to you.
I hope to see that sort of mileage on my VTR, however at 58 I don't like my chances.
Here's to another 100,000 !

8541 Hawk, Congrats on hitting 100,000 miles!
Today I installed my NEP throttle lock, it works very well.
My only complaint is that it hits the tank when turned all the way to the right.
Are the fork stops adjustable?
I thought about shaving my grip to get enough room in there, but instead I put some spacers in the bar end and moved the grip out slightly.

For the new members, my bike was literally a basket case. It has really come a long way.

This is what I ended up with when I got it all together

And this is the inspiration for my bike. Getting pretty close! I am having a pair of six spoke wheels powder coated on Friday.

Mike, this is awesome, also to mind you that Mike is using the OEM CCT's, also a testimony to a good maintained bike.
Cheers

Rode to the opening of Palmer race track in western Massachusetts and met bunch of old friends.
Would love to get on it soon, all crazy up hills and down hills, very technical, after this one Laguna Seca should be a piece of cake.

Hey Crux
The six spokes will look good for sure!
Can you do me a favour and compare the weight of the originals and the six spokes before you fit them?
I am at the stage where I am looking at wheels and am curious about the weight advantage of six spokes wheels as opposed to the standards.
It goes without saying that they look better!
Lookin good !
P.S Your bike is calling out for a braced Swing Arm!

Thank you for the compliments guys! Took a lot of work to get it to where it's at. After the engine swap, it will be back in full stealth effect!
I will for sure get the weights of both wheels for you. I'm curious myself.
About the swing arm brace, I have another Superhawk swing arm and a 900RR swing arm currently sitting on a shelf. Just need to find the time to fabricate and powdercoat.

Here is an old discussion we had about this:

Cheers mate
put it back together after shimming two valves on the front cylinder. 1 exhaust , 1 inlet.
Fired up straight away and sounds and rides good.
Funny how you get to know these bikes , the carbs are slightly out of sync.
Could be down to having taken them off, or could it be that bringing the valves back into spec affects the carbs?
I think I know the answer!
Anyway very happy with the ride today of approx 250 Klms.
