What did you do with your SuperHawk today?

I laid it down yesterday morning. I'm so pissed off because it was such a stupid move. Yeah, I'm rusty but this was a beginner move. I was setting the bike up to cross some railroad tracks when I saw the car in front of me had made the metal plates flanking the tracks bounce up and down 2 inches. I was going about 30 mph.
At the last minute I tried to swerve the bike to avoid the bouncy section. Unfortunately, I was already on the tracks and I just low-sided it so quickly I could do nothing. I remember hearing my helmet grinding on the road.
I can't say enough good things about the frame sliders I had on the bike. The only damage is rash on the left exhaust pipe, mirror, bar-end, and a broken turn signal. The bodywork escaped with only the paint scuffed where the turn signal was mashed against it.
I was wearing my used Ebay Dainese leathers at the time and got away with just a bruised hip and sore wrist. The little Dainese bat face is almost worn off one knee of the pants. I hate to think of my knee without them.
Once I was sure the bike's mechanicals were undamaged, I took it down and back on our local twisty road. I wasn't going to let the accident ruin my morning. I wasn't very fast, my tires have chicken plains, but I still had fun. I confess I love the sounds the bike makes just lugging it around corners and letting the torque do the work. After the TPS and rejet, it is smooth to below 3 grand.

I watched my son ride my VTR for the 1st time - he's 3 & a perfect rider!
Nah j/k - he's almost 17 & has been riding dirtbikes & scooters since 6.
I rode behind him to watch & God Damn he did pretty good. Just in the hood - no major roads a quick 5 min ride - ATGATT - NOT

Since my accident, he always checks on me when I'm away from home.
Today - so me & the younger 2 kids + wifey went out to get some nice steaks from a Butcher & when I got back him & his buddies were riding my scooter & his old Fiddy. I shot some hoops with them & then I said to me son. Hey U wanna ride my bike, he almost shyte himself.
His friends were really happy for him.
P.S. - I have 4 kids, Matt & then 3 girls, except for the youngest (9) they ride the Fiddy too - all with gear on. And my 15 Girl rides the Ruckus too + I taught her to drive the cage last year.
I started young on the driving as well, but mine was a '78 Ford LTD wagon with the simulated wood paneling - LOL. A ******* land yacht. I used to drive my GF home @ 14 - 8 miles r/t. Never got caught

Hello Everyone!
Roughly 3 month ago I purchased a VTR ! Since the purchase I have driven it 2000 miles, and I loved every single moment of it my goodness. I swear shes got so much torque because she literally burns the rubber off the tires. Tire suggestion for vtr ? My daily commute is roughly 80 miles a day highway.
Today , I took "Shelby" to my mechanics garage to get her 12,000 mile tune up. I Just want to make sure she is running the right way and that everything is properly maintained. After a quick start up and rev he decided to give each of the twins a quick examination of temperature . We found that the twins weren't running at the same temp more specifically the rear one was running roughly 30 degrees cooler. Well, looks like it will be in the shop for a week so all I can do is dream of shelby and... hope theres not an expensive issue waiting for me in down the road.

I just made a pointless 35 mile trip to a mechanic, the bike without exhausts, only pipes, with 2 titanium GP yoshi's on my back only to find out that he couldn't fit them and I need some "specialist" for the job. 
I found one, and his workshop is literally like 1 mile from my home. The good part is that I was blasting it through the tunnels, scaring everyone and everything around me, and that I just passed the 51k miles point and the bike still runs like a charm.

This motorcycle runs rich in the rear cylinder from the factory. This cools the cylinder slightly. It has to do with the longitudinal V-Twin design. If you would like me to explain why, just ask. Proof of this statement is in the different jet sizes for each carb.
If you have it at a shop and the mechanic is tuning your bike off of EGT's, you will want to let that shop know that the EGT's for each cylinder will in fact be different. Make sure they do a carb sync before tuning.
This motorcycle has two Achilles Heel's, which are the stock R/R (Regulator/Rectifier) and the two CCT's (Cam Chain Tensiiner). You can read up about these subjects in the Knowledge Base here.

Put a new rear rotor on. Turns out they do wear out. Especially with my winter/snow/rain riding, you get used to being you own linked brake system.
Oh and Jerry, PLEASE tell me your son was not allowed to ride with no protctive gear! I have a bunch of gear he could have. Whats his size? I a have a joe rocket phoenix, a fieldsheer armored, etc. You cant be that far from Queens.

Not all of this was today.
Today I wash and waxed, tired to set rear sag by myself, again. Went for a ride to test out the new shock. Dodged a couple radar traps.
Last few days: installed SS front brake lines, Flo-commander, Fox TC shock, changed fluids (all). Tried to set rear sag by my self, the first time. Removed lock nut on rear brake master cylinder push rod and lower the pedal height.
Today I wash and waxed, tired to set rear sag by myself, again. Went for a ride to test out the new shock. Dodged a couple radar traps.

I've been really considering buying one of those...but since my Superhawk was supposed to be a bike where I try not to constantly buy stuff for, I keep putting off the purchase until I would legitimately need it for like a road trip and such.

I decided to treat myself because of the bug season. Surprising how well the screen works. I also made a rack for myself. I wanted a little different system and wasn't happy with what Ventura offered so I fabbed one out of 3/8" tube and diamondplate aluminum. I put a Rapid Transit expandable bag on it. Works great.

But soon you'll want it to waterproof and then lockable. Then you get a topcase. Then you want to go on a trip, so panniers would help.
This is the stages I went through. Now I can throw 2 full helmets in the topcase.
It can be a slow process. My buddy kept sayin "why you messing around, just get a givi".
Now I am apauled that I did without one. So much safer way to carry stuff.

After my Remus Revolutions got stolen, I was in search of something like this. The result is far more beautiful than it looks from this photo, as soon as the bike's washed and clean, I'll make a proper photoshoot.
The sound is dry and powerful, but yet in very reasonable db's, until you open the throttle up. I'll try to upload a video too.
If anyone asks, no, without the baffles it sounds like a tractor having a seizure. And yes, I need rejetting
Exhausts are from a GSXR-1000 K7 Rizla edition.
