What did you do with your SuperHawk today?
What Happened!!!????
I installed new clutch kit (springs and pads). Everything seemed to go fine...At about a quarter mile into first ride with new set a loud clanking noise started! what did I do wrong. I soaked the plates before install, I place the new plates in the same way the old plates came out... Could the new plates be the wrong ones? I ordered EBC kevlar plates from EBAY. The springs came with the plates. Maybe I should put the old plates back and see if the " clicking continues? SUPERHAWK DOWN! SUPERHAWK DOWN!

Considerably cooler 25 percent better or more. My bike was running very lean At the stock settings. And after the battle ectomy I was getting Carb misfires and stumbling. After I did the carbs it ran At a quarter on my temp gauge vs a half before.
did all the carb tuning since my honda dealer screw it ....installed mig exhaust, replaced k&n with oem, mod the airbox, tps 830 to 540...what a new bike...woaw
keeping stuff for this winter.

Took a night ride with another fellow Hawker and a VFR, what a blast, almost no cars on the twisties and perfect weather, used my HID projector and the auxiliary lights to make night into day, I must say that good lights makes a huge difference on your riding ability at night.
You understand it? Explain it to me! I am racing since 98 and am still learning. You tried the push on the left bar to turn left at speed thing?
The more you know, the more you find you need to learn. Always look where you want to go.

Installed new instrument cluster cover and went for a ride.... Not a bit quicker, nor faster, nor turns better..... but it is nice to not have those annoying blurry spots in the lens.
Galfer rear rotor installed as well... just a service replacement, braking did not change at all.. nor did I want it to..

Installed RC51 mirrors with the LED directionals and prepped to install the integrated taillight tomorrow....oh yeah....and she turned over 23K on the odometer. A nice day overall after a leaf-peeping ride with the Mrs.
I think I may have finally found my SuperHawk. The bike is a red 98 with 25,000 miles but it looks damn near brand new. The paint is faultless, the engine looks very clean, and it sounds strong. The bike already has braided steel brake and clutch lines and Racetech fork guts. Other than that, the bike is essentially stock right down to the exhausts. The guy only wants $2900 for it.
Now we needs to find out if my credit union will give me financing on it. The owner of the bike is concerned they won't go for a bike this old. I sure hope he's wrong.
I'm not sure whether to ride this bike or just put it on a pedestal.

I rebuilt the carbs; was missing at low rpm, low throttle. Was a tad too lean, because of e-clips in the wrong slots. Now I just need a day of good weather to ride!
Well I rode this morning and it wasn't good. Bike runs way worse than it did before. Guess I'll have to move the e-clips back and fiddle with it some more...

Thanks Jerry!
I don't know Speedie, All the Hawks I've seen cheap here in the NW have been rustbuckets or project bikes. I'm willing to pay a little more if it means the bike hasn't been cobbled up by some P.O.

I paid 2900 for mine with a fresh coat of paint on it, 33k miles, ZG dark smoke DB screen, Micron Exhaust, Corbin Seat, Heli-Bars, LED integrated tail light, new rear tire and a damn good front, and the seat cowl. I got mine from a dealership though so I expected to pay on the high side. That and it already had the expensive Mods that I wanted to do to the bike.
