Rear sprocket play (loose)

I have noticed problems with the Hawk pulling a bit unevenly when trying to keep a exact speed.
I did a check, and i found out that the rear sprocket is loose, it moves a bit front and back (not side to side), when the wheel still is stationary.
What should I change to get the rear sprocket tight? And will this solve the uneven pull / clonky 1. to 2. shift?
Will it hurt the bike to drive more with this play on the rear sprocket?

because of the cush drive it will have a little play. If you grab the sprocket like a steering wheel and turn it back and forth it will have about 2-3 mm of play if it is much more than that then it may be time for you to replace the rubber cush drive parts inside the rear wheel.

The uneven drive will be affected with a worn cusdrive... The clonky shif will not hovewer... regular oilchanges and correct shifting is the only things that make a difference there...

Yeah, it's more than 2-3 mm play, more like 10-15mm I think.

But thank you all for your answers, I will contact my local workshop to get this fixed!

This is easy to fix on your own. Just remove the rear wheel. It's one big nut and the axle, then remove the chain and work off the rear caliper. Tools are in your tool kit. Use silicone spray on your cush drive rubbers every time you change the rear tire and they will last a very long time.

This may help if you looking for a cheap fix: I read about using pieces of an inner tube to shim the cush drive blocks. I didn't use a tube but part of an old rubber roofing membrane and it worked great. The bike feels much more connected to the road than it used to.

Thank you for all the tips, you guys! But it seems like after the stumble to the side, the bike has to go to a work anyways. More about that here
