Need New Tires...
It is once again that time, after ~8500 miles on my BT020s I need a new set of tires. The only ones that I have used are these and the stock 204s. I would like some input on the new Pilot Road tires. Looking for a tire that will survive a daily 40mile round trip commute and work well on the twisties. The BT020 did that job VERY well, but I want to know if there is something better out there.

I know guys that have been very happy with both the Avon 45/46 as well as the Pilot Roads. I know a guy who has over 8k on a set of PRs (mounted on a on VFR800) and they still look pretty good. Seems like they last a bit longer than the Avons...which might grip a little bit better. Either should be as good as 020s IMHO. Then again, I've never like Bridgestones.

I have the Pilot Sports on mine,.. and have just put the second rear tyre on after about 6,000km.. I think that I would have got a better milage out of them if I had ridden more corners. (The centre went first.)
The Michelin's give great feel, .. no compaints.
Have you considered the Pirelli Diablo's ? :wink:

Dunlop 208 ZR tires here.... I am very pleased with my first set and am now ready for a second set after a track day and about 2000 miles on the road. The 208ZR tires have a taller profile like the Bridgestone and Michelin tires. The older 207 ZR were okay, but the 208's rock.
