My horrid battery, and advice?

Hi all,

Recently I tried to take out my battery to put it on a tender (new owner here). Taking off the seat and unlatching the battery box's cover, I discover that the battery is un-removable. A fuse box (?) is in the way, so I cannot pull the battery out. Seems to be too big. After 25 minutes of struggling to pull out the battery, I just gave up.

What do you suggest I do - is there a trick to removing the Superhawk's battery? And, is there a better battery that I should grab and install as a replacement?

If the battery is to big, the fuse holder can be pulled out of the way. Use a flashlight to see how it connects to the plastic undertray. Once the fuse holder is out of the way, you shouldn't have any problems.

If it's still stuck, use a hair dryer to warm up the plastic around the battery. It makes it a little more pliable (CAUTION: warm it. Do not put the hair dryer on the battery for an hour. Bad things can happen)

Unclip the fuseholder from the plastic undertray. Once you've got a free path it should just pull out. If you still struggle thread some cable ties through both terminals and give it a tug.
