My first VTR, well most of one

My name is Thruxton, im 19 and live outside of Chattanooga TN.

So i got a real good deal on this bike. 1998 vtr. Im used to the power of my 1995 ducati m900, so a 1000 cc 4 valve twin ought to be FUN.

Its obvious the bike is missing ALOT of parts, but i still love it.

It will be a streetfighter. Under tail radiator, handle bars, and some other little trick - hand made parts.

This is what it looks like now.

And this is what my duc looked like before my crash. RIP monster

Nice! I'm 39 and still haven't owned a Ducati! Got A Fox shock with the 'Hawk, that's cool. I'll be interested to see how you like the Honda compared with the Duc, and how you build it up. Keep us posted.

It HAD a fox twin clicker, not anymore. That sucks but oh well. The suspension was also tuned when it was raced.

Thanks everyone. Ya the VTR will be my daily ride while i re- build the monster. The monster will be like, well like nothing you have ever seen before.

The VTR will be mostly stock. Aluminum gastank-tail combo which will double as the undertail radiator ducting.

monster right now, but just wait

Welcome from another TN boy. Sorry I couldn't hook ya up with the brake stuff. The pic of the Duc by the river is nice. I'll be in Chattanooga Monday for work. Great town. When you get the VTR up and running there are several of us due for a TN group ride.

TN ride sounds great, but give me a few months.

Are there any really radically modified VTR's on this site? I have been searching and cant find much.

That would be cool if mine was the first.

look for Kai_Ju's bike he has a working under tail radiator etc.

https://www.superhawkforum.com/forum...ead.php?t=7221

There is also a fully ratted bike on here somewhere, I think out of the UK IIRC

https://www.superhawkforum.com/forum...ad.php?t=16340

And a few single sided swing arms..

https://www.superhawkforum.com/forum...ad.php?t=15573

a few streetfighters

https://www.superhawkforum.com/forum...d.php?p=134157

also look for the German thread.

https://www.superhawkforum.com/forum...ad.php?t=13330

So not the first, but it isn't the most commonly modded bike.

Yours will be great I am sure can't wait to see it.
