Hey ya'll from FL

I bought a superhawk last year just to resell rode the bike a few times and loved it! For my Vtwin fix Ive always leaned on the Tlr but I was pleasantly surprised with the hawk and have been wanting one since. I do a lil something different with them. I like the naked look so that the way Im going. I already have a vfr swinger hopefully going on today. And plan for a new front end. Can anyone recomend a USD configuration that is easyish to put on? Ive heard the rc-51 one but those can be scarce. Just looking for some advice or some back and forth banter on a cool bike!

Heres a pic of the hawk. Basically I just wanted to motor and frame. Its only got 9800 on it... was stunted but the 12 o clock bar isnt even scaped though so not well. poor thing Im gonna bring her back to road worthy. And heres a pic of my daily z1000 to give you and idea of where Im heading with this. My z is done so I need something else to wrench on. Happy riding, shiny side up!

-Brian

Hey BPW... Welcome... I gotta say I am really diggin that paint job of the VTR.... Nicely done... Did you do it yourself or was that a custom shop type of project? Also I like the headlight and the mini fairing you have on that Kawi... I myself have two SH, one that is in the process of a rebuild that will be a full fairing bike and the second a project bike that I am considering making into a street fighter and I want to polish all the aluminum on the bike to make it stand out some more. My main concern is the headlight and the instrument cluster... I am trying to come up with an attractive idea to make it look like a nice clean mean street fighter.... It is a project that is still months away from completion so I have time to do some more research.. However I do like the look on that Kawi... is that a custom mod or did you buy that online somewhere?.

How's the riding in FL vs DFW congestion? I live out west, south of Ft. Worth, so the traffic is acceptable, but I ride into Big D every once in a while.

Unless you get out in the sticks....flat and straight good news is you can ride year round. Some of the best riding Ive ever seen is just north of McKinney. Take 75 to 380 then head east for about 10 miles take a left anywhere and let er rip. winding long open country roads. I miss that a lot, used to go out there frequently.
