Greetings From New Forum Member

hello all... Just wanted to say hi... Im not new to riding been doing so for over 10 years but I did just pick up a superhawk... After I was hit on my 954 a few years ago I took a vacation from riding but I decided to get back in the saddle... Anyway I picked up a MINT 2002 Hawk with 3200 miles on her and im getting ready to do a few things to her any suggestions on exhaust? I like the high mount jardine but then ill loose the passenger pegs and I have to keep those...

Welcome! before exhaust you may want to change out your auto CCTs for some manual CTTs if it has not been done yet. U have seen a few bikes out there retain the passenger pegs by using the two brothers Hi mount cans. Maybe some longer bolts and some spacers on the outside of the mounts might work as well?

You can keep passenger pegs with hi-mounts, just add some spacers and longer bolts to your peg hangers, they fit right over the exhaust. Welcome!

nice... I was trying to decide between the jardine rt1 and the two brothers m2 black series... as far as the ape cct goes I really dont care for them... I had one on my cbr 600 and could never get it set right... I trust the auto cct... I am new to vtwins tho and as far as this being a carb bike is a rejet needed with good quality pipes?

Welcome to the forum! This is a great place to be with good people that have alot of knowledge and experience with these bikes. I will caution you though - check the "search" button prior to posting questions as most subjects have been thoroughly covered over the years. This is a great place for technical expertise - especially from our senior members. Going to Mid Ohio for the Superbike race this year by chance? Good luck and welcome again!

8541Hawk will become famous soon enough
I would suggest planning on changing out the CCTs no matter which type you use.

Also there is a rather detailed thread on how to set up the carbs.
