Barber Motorsport Park.
Just a general interest thread.... My wife and I rode the SHawk from asheville, across Hwy129 and down thru TN, into GA, and into AL. To Barber Motorsport Park last Sunday.. The ride was grand, and the weather was beautiful..
Yet when we got there -The Indy cart group was there too, and enough movie stars, and cart drivers to keep the photographers happy...
We had ridden to see the museum of bikes..
And if you haven't never made the trip.. Please make the trip..
The reason for this post, is that after so many bikes of dreams-Bikes that I could have never imaged seeing or (the secret "quick" touch) just to know that the bike was really there..(NR750r, VFR750r, NSR500 etc.) in the midst of all the WONDER... of these machines that had evolved thru history...
On a stand, facing the race track thru the larger picture widows..
There she was-- a 7/97 vin#1065 1997 Superhawk with no miles on the clicker.. Truely inspiring...
Gentlemen, we own a bike that even the world has chosen to cheerish...

I got taken out by another rider on my 'Hawk track bike down there in '08, it was all the guards could do to keep me from lifting parts off that bike........ it was even the right color!
The Barber Raceway Park and Museum are truly world class, the grounds are park like, the track is smooth and grippy, the museum building is very cool, and there are hundreds of bikes, from the obscure to the latest soup du jour. I don't think you'll ever see a better or more complete motorcycle collection anywhere in the world.
We'll be down there again in June........
