You'd think that the security of the quick release steering wheel would be on the starting line check-off list of a funny car driver. It took him a while to pull the chute lever too.

Imagine if that happened on an F1 car with 20 other cars around you.

LMAO..... Glad he wasn't hurt but that was funny. I think the same thing did happen earlier this year in F1.

Actually it looked like it sheared off. Notice at the end when he tries to put it back on and then realizes that he can't?
