Superhawk issues

Ok so I just bought this 98 superhawk the other day. Ran like absolute **** on the way home running poorly, couldn't really crack the throttle like it should. Bogging out etc, stalling at times. the guy I bought it from said you need to keep it half choked to keep it running right. Said there was no idle switch which turned out to be not true. So I got it home and a couple hours later the battery is completely dead even though I rode it and hour home. Ordered a battery. Then I jumped it because I found the idle switch. It was super low so I adjusted it so the bike was running at 1300rpms. Then tried starting it again and I couldn't even jump start it now it wouldn't even crank the starter even though I was jumping it. So either I blew the main fuse or the battery was way to dead to even jump. Then I started smelling gas so I assumed maybe it was a little flooded. Now 2 days later I checked on it, it's leaking gas everywhere. I lifted the tank and looked like the petcock isn't leaking. The choke had a little gas on it. Can't really see exactly where it's leaking from. Now I'm 99% sure my oil now has gas in it. The gas is nearly gone now. Any suggestions on where it could be leaking? I'm guessing the carbs. Also noticed a nipple where a hose should probably be but there's nothing connecting to it. I'm uploading pics for reference. But yeah sucks big time just got a bike that was supposed to be fine and now I gotta flush the oil and add oil. Fix the battery and figure out where the hell the gas is leaking and why. Super bummed. Any help would be appreciated.

Be calm, it's all fixable. If the fuel is not coming from the bottom of the tank, either the petcock or the fuel level sender O-ring, then it's most likely the carb float valves. Which also most likely means that the petcock diaphragm is gone bad. Especially if the bike has not been run in a long time. If fuel is overflowing the float bowls, you are right about doing an oil change. Check inside the tank for rust.
The empty "nipple" on the petcock is the fake-out one that Honda put there to fool you into putting the vacuum line on it.

How long was the bike sitting for? Most people are too ignorant to put say REC90 and/or fuel stabilizer in anything that doesn't get used on a regular basis . Modern fuel is absolute crap and goes to **** in a few months and wreaks havoc on everything it touches along the way. Obviously you knowingly bought a bike that didn't run right (nothing wrong there) so you have to expect a little R&R is going to be involved. If you just jump in and clean the tank and clean and rebuild the other stuff that gasoline touches (petcock, carbs...) you're probably going to solve 99% of your problems and also eliminate future problems so you can enjoy the bike. You'll also save a boatload of time trying the find "the problem."

Dang! How did you figure it out? Pull the plugs? Have you looked for any damage to your engine because of the lock? Pressure check? Pressure test coolant system for blown head gasket? Thanks for sharing.
