Starter relay "clicking"

I had the bike running perfect etc, and then stupidly as i was setting up my rear brake foot rest for my long legs, noticed the plastic nut on the rear brake light foot switch had broken, I then took apart the switch leaving the two wires exposed from inside it.
As i then decided to quickly run my bike and put it in my workshop to replace the whole switch, somehow managed to tap the wires with my leg and instantly blew a 10amp fuse in the box next to the battery.
After replacing the fuse, turned on the ignition and now i have no life anywhere apart from a click coming from the starter relay, I have ordered a new one, fitted it today and still only have clicking from the new relay, nothing else.
I have also bridged the positive and negative on the starter relay and had no spark or any sign of the starter motor turning over.
So the battery is totally brand new, starter relay is brand new, all the fuses are ok, when the ignition is switched on I have all the lights working OK,,
Am I right in thinking I could have blown the rectifier and that needs replacing??
Any words of wisdom would mean everything to me as I driving me mad..

A blown rectifier shouldn't stop the motor turning over off the battery. I suggest you follow your voltage from the + battery terminal, through the starter relay, to the starter. There isn't much in line there, but it would seem your battery voltage isn't making it to the starter. You'll need good grounds as well.

As suggested above, check for voltage at the starter. Simple to do with a test light. Go from battery negative to the positive on the starter. When you crank, the light should illuminate. Also check all the to and from the battery and starter are tight.

There seems to be a good enough connection between battery to starter through the relay. Additionally, given that you have changed the relay, it most likely is not that one either. One possibility that comes to mind is that the relay might not have a sufficient connection to ground. Next, I'd check the resistance between the ground and the relay. After that, resistance between the button and the relay and the battery. It's possible that circuit is your culprit.
