Slurp, Pop, lots of smoke?

What the hell is that. I took the bike out for a spin today, had a couple of carb farts then after 45 minutes of riding I'm sitting at a red light then the bike makes a slurp sound, then its like a really large carb fart followed by lots of smoke mostly fuel smoke. When I got home I smelled like someone poured gasoline on me.

Anyone have any ideas?

Sounds like the float/s might be stuck dumping fuel en masse into the engine... Check before you vapour lock it...

Sticky floats... more than likely. If that does not work, while you are in there make sure that the main jet is all the way tightened. I've seen that give similar symptoms. Also, check your oil. If you have too much oil, the excessive pressure causes weird things to happen like running very rich, what not. Of course, if you have too much oil, it may be due to a sticky float bowl letting gas get into the crank via cylinders and/or breathers from the air box.
