rr smoking???
Just hopped off the bike. The battery died cuz I left it on so...I jumped it in gear then I have no tach and some electrical smelling smoke. Pull in the garage and smoke is coming from under the plastics on right side of the passenger seat. Any suggestions???

RR plug is likely a melted mass.
But no need to guess, electrical diagnosing is some of the most difficult.... unless you let the Smoke out and in that case it's easy to see at least the finial point of failure..
Bottom line; visually check the wiring from RR to the plug and beyond. If not there look at other wiring for the burned insulation.

You're better off than some! I was riding with a buddy of mine back in the day. He was on a V65 Magna when his bike caught on FIRE! I was laughing my *** off as he swatted the flames down. We never did let him get over that one.
