RCVTR

I have installed a CBR1KRR gauge cluster on my RC51. It has the same type of crank angle pulse generator as the CBR and the VTR.

The tach is not working. The EFI MIL works, the H2O Temp works, the neutral light works, the tach needle does it's full-range sweep, the bike starts and runs fine, but there is no tach!!

I connected the tach wire to an oscilloscope and I get a square wave output, so the ECU is generating a tach signal.

Am I missing something??

I'm 99.9% sure I have the tach wire going to the right pin on the connector. See the wiring diagram below:

I'm going in the back to input a square wave directly to the gauge and see if it works.

I just realized I didn't get back to you on the PM... I got sidetracked looking for colored wiring diagrams... Bad Tweety...

As far as I can see, you are in fact hooking it up correctly... So it's a mystery to me why it isn't working...

I guess my $200 used tach is fubar. I had no luck getting it to work with a function generator, either. It powered up and self-tested, but no tach.

I'm trying to locate a 1KRR to test it on.
