pair question

Hey, what do I do with the 2 hoses coming off the pair valves if I threw away the wacky valve they go into? Plug them?

The two small ones coming off either side of the carbs? You just point them downward... they're float bowl vent lines

Not sure which lines you are talking about but if it was part of the PAIR system, then plug them.

they are vacuum lines. plug them on both sides. Also plug the line going to the air box from that emisions thingy... I have found marbles to work well on the emisions lines.

Yes, that was covered on a more embarassing thread, it was real bad gas or maybe a tank of diesel in the middle of nowhere on my trip.

After the engine swap I had repeat symptoms until I swapped out the tank from my other VTR. Let us never talk of that again. My only issue now is a slightly varying idle.

If you want to clean things up and get rid of the hoses completely, one of the Forum members made some really clean looking PAIR block off plates about a year or so ago. I think they were $15.

I'm assuming you're talking about the large hoses that run from the PAIR valve to the valve covers.

The member is "superdutyd". You might PM him, if you're interested, to see if he has any left.
