Ned Help with Regulator/Rectifier Connector Replacement Pat #

Hiya,

Does someone happen to know which of the part numbers at the link below is the correct connector for the VTR1000F? (In other words, which Honda motorcycles use the same regulator/rectifier as the SuperHawk/Firestorm?)

Ricks Motorcycle Rectifier/regulator wiring harness connector kit - Procycledepot.com

Thanks.

Yes, it melted in a most dramatic fashion, with carbon arcing and all.

You should be good with that clip, as long as you are fitting a Honda r/r. Yamaha or other makes might have a different plug, I'm not sure though

The connector in the photo at the LINK does look the same (5-pins, with three standard female spade connectors and two larger female spade connectors);however, the drop-down menu under the stock photo (the window where you actually select the part to initiate the order) shows two different part numbers for the Honda R/R connector. The VTR1000F is not listed among the Hondas in that window, only the VFR, F4, CBR900RR, etc. Because two distinct part numbers are listed, I still need to find out which Hondas use the same rectifier/regulator as the VTR1000F.

It might be that both part numbers would actually work; I am just trying to eliminate the possibility of having to order the part twice. (I called the phone number on the Web page, and they told me that they do not have any cross-reference information on standard Honda R/R's, and she had no reference index beyond the part numbers and associated models listed on the page at the link.)

Thanks again for the help.

Here's a complete list of every model and year that uses the same stock regulator. Hopefully one of those models is on the drop down menu and you will figure out which clip to use.

Part number is 31600-MV4-000

You will have to enter the part number to see the list, it won't link directly to the list page.

Thank you very much.

The Ron Ayers reverse-lookup search engine for parts does the trick!

(Now that I think of it, I remember someone--a long time ago--telling me that the VTR1000F has the same rectifier/regulator as the CBR900RR and the CBR600-F4. I guess that person was right. lol)

cheers,
