Oddball Regulator connector sizes

I was just wondering what's up with the larger female plugs needed on the regulators? They are larger than the typical 1/4 and hard to find. I know I can buy the correct connectors from EBeaver but money is tight and I thought I could get my regulator swap done easily. Silly Me.
The stock reg has 3 regular size and 2 large while my zx10 replacement has all 5 large.

Keep in mind that using open connectors usually mean you need to re-do it or atleast clean it pretty soon as it's open to the elements and corrodes... Just saying...

Not sure your situation exactly, but what I did was cut the plug off my superhawk harness, then I soldered on the plug with a few inches of wires from my donor Regulator(I used a TL1000).... Of course if you don't have the plug/wires from the ZX10 you are using that won't help....

wish I could have done it that way, that sounds better. I did a Gixer R/R, cut the fried Honda connector and crimped 5 individual female spade lugs, plugged one by one into the R/R. Makes me think I need to check it for corrosion now. Good luck and let us know how it turns out.
