How ridiculous would going from a 14mm mc to a 19mm

I have an older GSXR 19mm (3/4") radial MC and i am enetertaining the thought of an MC swap for ***** and giggles.

I will be running OEM brake pads, lines and calipers.

I get the idea that moving from a 14 to 16mm is dramatic. But to a 19mm...

just trying to get an idea of how wooden the brake will feel.

umm, you will need gorilla hands to get enough braking force.. lol

I'd upgrade the calipers before the MC..

ditto. You lose power going up in MC piston size if you don't change the caliper's volume too. The bigger the MC, the more fluid it moves but at a lower pressure.

i doubt the amount of pressure required would increase that much but what would happen is the MC pushes more fluid... therefore you'd have very little lever travel. with such little travel it's hard to modulate the brakes.

I am running a 929 master on my track bike which I believe is a 19mm and SS lines. The brakes a great, 2 fingers and the bike stops nice and quick. No problem easing into to them or grabbing a handful when required.

+1 to FTMS. It will give better feel and less lever movement, though I highly recommend upgrading pads to get better initial bite. That's the tradeoff.
